Application Form

Early Bird Discount (less $100) deadline: February 1, 2012

Scholarship/Bursary: A limited number of scholarship/bursaries will be awarded based on merit and need. Awarded at discretion of audition committee. Deadline: March 1, 2012. To qualify for assistance applicants must:

Submit a letter to PIFR requesting financial assistance
Demonstrate that you cannot attend the course without assistance (include copy of line 150 from Cdn 2010 or 2011 income tax return)
Have applied to employer for assistance (include copy of letter)
Have applied for government grants (include copy of letter).

Please note that your audition CD will be used for scholarship/bursary purposes as well. Scholarships/bursaries will not be reviewed unless there is a CD accompanying your application.

If you wish to be considered for the additional Wibb classes, please indicate on application form. Performers will be pre-selected, by audition. We advise you to perform part of the "Passacaglia" as part of your application package.

Course Fee: includes daily Masterclasses, workshops, breathing and technique classes as well as private lessons, room, board & GST in CND funds:

Performers: $1500 (single occupancy), $1300 (double occupancy)
Auditor: $1100 (double occupancy only)

One-page resumé

Payment in Canadian funds; either post-dated cheque (March 1, 2012) "Mount Royal University Conservatory" with "Pender Island Flute Retreat" on the memo line, or by credit card (see application form)

A labeled CD should have two contrasting pieces on it, with accompaniment. One of the pieces should be a movement from either Mozart or Bach. Professional players in full-time orchestral jobs or university level teaching jobs need not send a CD, unless you are applying for scholarship/bursary. Scholarships/bursaries will not be reviewed unless there is a CD accompanying your application.
