Heather Campbell, Workshops

Heather Campbell is a Canadian born facilitator of self-healing and human development. Having successfully recovered from her own severe injury and chronic pain, she has applied her experience in the field of Massage Therapy to aid others in pain. Through the use of her hands Heather became familiar with a natural talent to activate healing in others and for the last ten years has learned how to communicate and teach the fundamental processes inherent to a healthy body, mind and soul. Alongside private sessions, Heather teaches weekly classes of Pilates, Yin Yoga, Qi Gong Breathing, and Illness/Injury Recovery. Heather recently developed a highly innovative workshop series called “My Healing Odyssey: A journey to activate self-healing and empowerment.” This series is in its third season and runs for 17 weeks beginning every September. The workshops cover topics such as Healthy Emotional Boundaries, Trust and Trustworthiness, and Authenticity and True Voice. Heather owns Varsity Natural Health Center in Calgary, Alberta, a unique alternative clinic with a staff of six who share in facilitating preventative approaches to wellness from their own experiences and natural talents. In 2002, Heather was approached by a good friend of the Calgary Philharmonic Orchestra to start a “CPO Pilates” class that would be tailored specifically to musicians. This class ran weekly for three years and addressed the physical aspects of playing such as breathing, strength, and posture. The class naturally evolved to exploring the relationships that musicians have with their instruments, their music, their colleagues, and themselves. Heather’s insightful perspectives in these areas ultimately led to her invitation to teach at the Pender Island Flute Retreat.
