Until December 31, 2015 individual donations to the MCC, for the Syrian Refugee Emergency Fund in refugee camps in Lebanon, Northern Iraq and Jordan will be matched by the Canadian Government. Every dollar donated will go twice as far. There will be a silent auction at intermission as well.

The internationally trained Members of your Calgary Philharmonic Orchestra perform in over 120 concerts a year for the CPO, the Calgary Opera and Alberta Ballet. The orchestra's Community Outreach and Education program enriches the lives of Calgarians with concerts at venues throughout the city and educational programs for schools. Most recently, the CPO is proud to launch their newest program PhilharmoniKids, empowering children and opening doors of opportunity through the joy of music.
CPO musicians are also members of the many fine, Juno award winning Calgary ensembles offering a variety of chamber repertoire. Accomplished instructors, our musicians teach at the University of Calgary, Mount Royal University Conservatory, and private home studios. During the off season they can also be found leading, performing and teaching at international workshops and festivals.
These musicians give back to Calgary and the global community by performing, organizing, promoting and partnering with businesses to raise funds and awareness for many worthy causes such as Syrian Refugees efforts, Red River Relief and Strings for Strays.

Mennonite Central Committee Responding to this crisis is MCC’s largest ever humanitarian effort. We have 27 ongoing projects that deliver emergency relief and peace building. Through our partners, we are providing food and rent assistance as well as essential items such as relief and hygiene kits, clothing and kitchen supplies.
